Grande Odalisque

Pillow “Grande Odalisque”

Grande Odalisque, also known as Une Odalisque or La Grande Odalisque, is an oil painting of 1814 by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres depicting an odalisque, or concubine. Ingres’ contemporaries considered the work to signify Ingres’ break from Neoclassicism, indicating a shift toward exotic Romanticism.
A rectangular pillow, trimmed with royal blue grass-styled lace trim, will highlight any contemporary-design bedroom. Silk tassels with silver top are placed in the corners of the pillow – to match the finish shades. The back side of the pillow is made in bright golden color that creates a contrast effect.
